Remember her? The original version?
How can you not love that face?! :)
She was my inspiration for Halloween.
Of course i had to make the costume, cuz all
the store ones were, well....lets just say rather
skimpy. lol.
TA DA!!! Blast from the past!
Let me tell you, i can make a mean apron.
There is even strawberry pattern ruffles at the bottom
and hand sewn X's. The base dress is from the Goodwill,
my go-to place to lay a costume foundation :).
I added the sleeves. And a special thanks to Ebay for
the socks and hat in last minuet fashion, as that is how i roll! ;)
We had a great time in NC for Halloween. My friends were
Deb from Napoleon Dynamite and a Zombie:
Here is Deb about to be a Zombie snack.
good times.
Yeah, we are 20 somethings going on 7 :)
What did you guys do for Halloween?!
Do share!!!!

Strawberry Shortcake! Love the costume, very cute. :) I never got a Strawberry Shortcake doll because it was too pricey. I had to settle for Baby Apricot. Apricots and strawberries, not the same smell. Which reminds me, did you complete the costume by making yourself smell like strawberries?
Love the Deb costume, too. I had that hairstyle once. Only I'm pretty sure I had crimped my hair first. I totally rocked.
ya know, my immediate thought, like 5 min. before we left for the party, was that i shoulda got some strawberry body spray. so no, i didn't complete the look. :( good thought for next time tho!
My friend made the PERFECT deb. I had that hair style too....only i had a HUGE neon multi colored bow clip thing to complete the look. how could we not rock?! :D
-Magoo!
Love Strawberry Shortcake! You look adorable in that fabulous costume. It looks like you had fun! We went to an old fashioned Halloween in our historic downtown. Halloween mixed with shopping. Perfect!
hugs,
Caroline
